Auditions for Commonwealth Chorale

Commonwealth Chorale is an auditioned chorus that attracts singers from the metropolitan Boston area. For our 2022-2023 season, we seek experienced choral singers of all voice types who have strong vocal and sight-reading skills. Under new Artistic Director Michael Driscoll, the 2022-2023 season celebrates a diverse program of composers new and familiar, including works by Mozart and John Rutter. The season also includes major works by women: Marianna Martines, a contemporary of Mozart and Haydn; Florence Price, the first African-American woman to be recognized as a symphonic composer, and Carol Barnett’s The World Beloved: A Bluegrass Mass.

Auditions will be held by appointment on the evenings of Tuesday, August 30 from 6:00pm-9:00pm, and Tuesday, September 6 from 5:30pm-6:45pm at Eliot Church, 474 Center St., Newton MA. For audition information and to sign up for an audition, please visit https://commonwealthchorale.com/join-us.
