2nd Annual Anna Mae Dancy Foundation Scholarship Dinner
Boston, MA – On Saturday, September 30, 2023, please join the Board of Directors for the Anna Mae Dancy Foundation as they celebrate their Annual Commemorative Dinner. The event is being held at the Cathay Pacific Restaurant, 111 Hancock Street in Quincy, MA beginning at 6:00 PM.
Now in its second year, this fund was established in honor of Mrs. Anna Mae Dancy, a longtime resident of Boston, MA until her passing in 2022. She was a civil rights activist and retired educator who dedicated her career to educating children in the Boston Public Schools System and schools in other cities. She was a woman who sought to make a positive difference in the lives of young people. Proceeds raised at the dinner will support scholarships and community programs.
“In her honor, the City of Boston has proclaimed September 28th “Anna Mae Dancy Day to celebrate the light she is and the pillar that she was in this community,” said Shenia M. Dancy, esq., President of the AMDF, Inc. “Our vision is to invest in the future of young people from all walks of life through programs and scholarships, in the areas of health & wellness, juvenile justice and civic engagement.”
