An Original In Concert – Debo Ray and her All Star Band at the Regent Theatre

An Original in Concert will feature Ms Ray performing many of her original compositions moving effortlessly from pop to rock, sould & r&b with jazzy elements. Her songs deal with relationship issues, good times, bullying and personal empowerment.

From jazz, to rock, to metal, to opera and most recently funk, r&b and soul, her versatility is unmatched. Long time music writer/critic Jon Garelick asked recently, “What can’t Debo Ray sing?” in the Boston Globe.

Ms Ray is the featured vocalist with Terri Lyne Carrington’s Social Science which recently won the Downbeat Magazine critics poll for Best Group in 2023. She’s performed on some of the world’s biggest stages, most recently Carnegie Hall as well as with jazz giant Kenny Barron at the Berklee Performance Center. In April of this year, she had a featured role in the world premier opera entitled The Jonah People with the Nashville Symphony Orchestra.  She is a faculty member at Berklee College of Music.

Debo Ray’s charisma and incredible vocal chops along with her All Star Band means a night of great music and powerful messages – you don’t want to miss this one!
