“Seeking Hope Beyond the Headlines: A night of reflection and healing.”
Rev. Liz Walker and Debra Johnson gather at the Roxbury Presbyterian Church for a meeting of “Our Voices, Our Stories.”

Rev. Liz Walker invites you to an evening of sharing our experiences of and reactions to the events of these past weeks and months in our wider world. As a community already enduring many burdens, these “current events” can add to our stress and losses, making it more difficult to tap into our resilience and strength. “Seeking Hope Beyond the Headlines” will be a time of coming together in community conversation to find healing and comfort in the simple act of sharing what we are going through in safe, supportive space.

Dinner and childcare will be provided.

This evening is part of The Cory Johnson Program for Post-Traumatic Healing, which provides weekly programming through which people gather for healing, support, and when desired, access to further mental health services. The program is pioneering a community-based approach to addressing trauma which fosters connection and empowers individuals to take active roles in helping themselves and others heal. For more information, call 617-445-2116 or contact colleensharka@rpcsic.org

Thursday, March 9, 6 – 9 PM
