Dr. Gerald R. Marx
The American Heart Association (AHA) recently awarded Dr. Gerald R. Marx, a pediatric cardiologist at Children’s Hospital Boston with its Paul Dudley White Award. Named in honor of one of Boston’s most revered cardiologists and a founding father of the American Heart Association, the award was given to Dr. Marx during the group’s annual fundraiser.
A Dover resident, Dr. Marx trained in Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology at Children’s Hospital Boston. After his training, he joined the faculty at the University of Oregon Health Sciences Center, followed by the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center in Tucson, and then Tufts University of School of Medicine before returning to Harvard and Boston Children’s Hospital in 1998.
Dr. Marx has been a tireless volunteer for the American Heart Association, both at the national level and local affiliate, serving on numerous committees and boards. He now serves as president of the Board of Directors of the AHA’s New England Affiliate.
