This Thursday, February 5 Laugh Boston presents the show Awkward Sex…And The City featuring comedians and storytellers Natalie Wall, Emmy Harrington, Jamie LeeLo, Carly Ann Filbin, Ginny Leise at 10:15 p.m. Tickets: $25 & $20; www.laughboston.com.

The Institute of Contemporary Art celebrates Brazilian art, music and culture with First Fridays: Carnaval! this Friday featuring the work of artist Adriana Varejão along with Samba performances and music by DJ Knife spinning Brazilian-inspired tunes beginning at 5 p.m. Tickets: $15 nonmembers; www.icaboston.org, 21+.
