The Cambridge Public Schools is a diverse, urban exciting school district committed to the twin values of academic excellence and social justice. We are seeking a Grade 7 Science teacher to provide instruction in Physics and Chemistry; the science teacher should incorporate best practices in science instruction using the district curriculum and common assessments, as well as formative assessments, differentiation of instruction, and embedded literacy strategies (including Science talks, writing for process and product, and reading in the content area) in an inquiry focused science classroom.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
MA licensure/certification: Science, grade 5-8. Recent successful experience teaching middle school science in a student-centered classroom with inquiry-based methodologies in an urban, multicultural setting is preferred.
