On Saturday, the JP Music Festival takes over Pinebank Field (located on Perkins Street and the Jamaicaway) with 21 bands performing over two stages from 12 noon – 7 p.m. The all-day event is free and open to the public. For more information, visit www.jpmusicfestival.com.
On Sunday, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston presents a free Community Day in celebration of Director Malcolm Rogers’ 20th Anniversary from 10 a.m. – 4:45 p.m. The open house will feature “20 things to do,” family activities, special art-making sessions and a performance at 3:30 p.m. led by artist Shinique Smith.
