Dr. Michael Shannon, one of the premier pediatric toxicologists in the world, died unexpectedly after returning to Boston from a vacation in Argentina. The emergency medicine specialist at Children’s Hospital Boston and Harvard Medical School was also known as the “dancing doctor” because of his passion for dance. He was 55 years old.
