Quincy Miller was recently appointed director of retail branch banking in Massachusetts for Citizens Bank. Miller previously held the same position at Charter One in Ohio, a division of Citizens Financial Group.

In the new role, Miller oversees Citizens’ more than 130 traditional branches in Massachusetts. He is responsible for the overall day-to-day management of the bank’s retail business, deposit generation and local marketing, as well as consumer and business lending.

Miller began his retail branch banking career in 1997 with MandT Bank in New York City. Later, he assumed the role of regional manager in Harrisburg, Pa., in 1999.

“We are delighted to welcome Quincy to Massachusetts,” said Robert E. Smyth, president of Citizens Bank Massachusetts. “He is an experienced and talented banker who continuously works to secure new business while ensuring existing customers’ banking needs are met. I know he will be an effective leader in Massachusetts and look forward to working with him.”

Miller holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and business from Lafayette College in Easton, Pa., and is a graduate of the Consumer Bankers Association’s Graduate School of Retail Bank Management. In 2002, he was named one of the “40 Under 40” by the Central Pennsylvania Business Journal, receiving similar honors from Cleveland’s Kaleidoscope Magazine in 2007 and Crain’s Cleveland Business in 2008.

Miller and his wife, Jenna, have two children.
