Chief Justice Kimberly Budd of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court and Donna Levin, CEO of the Arthur M. Blank School for Entrepreneurial Leadership at Babson College, were among 10 Greater Boston leaders named this year’s Pinnacle Award Honorees.
The Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce Women’s Network, which announced the honorees, highlighted their outstanding achievement in business, government and management.
The 2024 Pinnacle Awards, celebrated Jan. 26 at the Omni Boston Hotel in the Seaport, also mark the 30th anniversary of the most prestigious honor for female professionals in the region, Chamber officials said in a press release announcing the honorees.
The Pinnacle Award recognizes outstanding achievement in the workplace, demonstrated leadership that has made a difference, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life in the region, the announcement said.
“Congratulations to the 2024 Pinnacle Award honorees, who represent the best of the business community. Every day, they are transforming and advancing their companies and sectors, ensuring that Massachusetts is a place for every person and business can reach new heights,” said James E. Rooney, president and CEO of the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce.
“Their leadership continues to shape a strong future for the Commonwealth,” added Susan Loconto Penta, chair of the Women’s Network Advisory Board and co-founder and managing partner at MIDIOR.
Budd was the honoree for Achievement in Management — Government, while Levin was honored for Achievement in Arts and Education.
Budd became the first Black woman and the youngest chief justice in Massachusetts in over 150 years. She was sworn in by Gov. Charlie Baker on Dec. 1, 2020. She is a distinguished and highly respected leader who inspires women, people of color and others, across the commonwealth and beyond, the Chamber’s website said.
Levin is an experienced executive with a history of strategic leadership, according to her LinkedIn page. As co-founder of Care.com, she scaled the organization from the start-up stage through five rounds of funding and an IPO. Care.com is the world’s largest online marketplace for finding and managing family care, with more than 19 million members spanning 16 countries, the LinkedIn site said.
The other Pinnacle Award honorees were Rudina Seseri, founder and managing partner at Glasswing Ventures; Julie Kim, president, U.S. Business Unit and U.S. Country Head, Takeda; Nancy Huntington Stager, president and CEO, Eastern Bank Foundation; Lucy Pérez, senior partner, McKinsey and Co.; Christine C. Schuster, president and CEO, Emerson Health; Caitlin Dodge, CEO, ThinkArgus; Yvonne Garcia, chief of staff, global head of internal communications and head of the global CEO experience program, State Street Corp.; and Gail Goodman, former CEO at Constant Contact.
