Felisha Lewis has been named the new director of the Orchard Gardens Boys & Girls Club in Roxbury, replacing Russ Lamberti, who led the Club for six years before moving on to a new opportunity.

Lewis had been a membership director of the Berkshire Partners Blue Hill Club on Talbot Avenue in Dorchester, where she grew up. She had been a foundational pillar for all families at that Club, serving as a welcoming figure for all from her space at the front desk. In nearly a decade there, she conducted onboarding sessions, managed membership applications and implemented health and safety protocols during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Her parents are from Barbados, making her a second-generation American. She has a son in both the Boston Public Schools and Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston.

Lewis is expected to use her experiences and relationships to build upon the existing foundation at the Orchard Gardens Club on Dearborn Street in providing enriching resources, facilities and opportunities to Roxbury’s young people and families. The goal is to provide youth with the help and support they need to grow up and thrive as Boston’s future leaders.

“As a proud Dorchester native, I am excited to leverage my skills and bring my leadership to the Orchard Gardens Club. I look forward to connecting with parents and partners alike and managing programs that offer our members fun and opportunity,” she said.

Robert Lewis Jr., President and CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston, praised Felisha Lewis’ experience and leadership. They are not related.

“Felisha’s dedication to community shines through her work with young people, especially as she brings her perspective as a Boston parent. Under her direction, the Orchard Gardens Club will thrive and continue to be a hallmark for the community,” Robert Lewis Jr. said.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston serves more than 8,000 individuals across its Clubs and through its YouthConnect program in partnership with the Boston Police Department.
