Stan McLaren, Harvard Street Neighborhood Health Center President and CEO, announced the appointment of Leonarda Santos, a long time health industry executive, as director of operations at the health center. Before joining the leadership team at HSNHC, Santos was the practice manager for Cambridge Health Alliance where she was responsible for the operations and management of two of their Health Centers.

Santos worked as a practice manager for Cambridge Health Alliance for six years. While there, she implemented mental health integration, made improvements to their team-based care and led their certification to become a patient-centered Health Center.

“We are very excited to have someone with Leonarda’s experience and strong management abilities join our team and head the operations of our health center staff and facilities,” said McLaren. “As we move to a Family Practice model and expand the health center’s footprint, her skills will be essential in supporting our growth.”

Prior to her position at CHA, Santos served as the clinical operations manager at Whittier Street Health Center. Santos was responsible for the daily operations and general management at Whittier Street Health Center. She elevated their overall performance and oversaw the transition of their Health Center site relocation.

“My years of expertise in patient-centered and team-based care aligns directly with Harvard Street’s mission,” said Santos, “and I am thrilled to join this organization of talented and dedicated health care professionals and look forward to ensuring that we are prepared for our next level of growth.”

Santos received her MBA from Curry College and a Bachelor of Liberal Arts from the University of Massachusetts Boston.
