Boston-based attorney Stephen Hall was recently hired as a trial partner at Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP. Hall graduated with a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Southeast Missouri State University and earned his law degree from Suffolk University. The attorney joined Morgan Lewis after his previous post at the global law firm Orrick. Hall has experience as a first-chair trial attorney and a background in accounting, and he plans to use both experiences to his advantage as he joins the practice.

“Boston is an important and growing jurisdiction for life sciences litigation, corporate and regulatory services,” said Firm Chair Jami McKeon. “Stephen brings additional depth and capacity to our litigation team in that industry and will enhance our ability to help our clients succeed in an increasingly competitive and regulated environment.”

Hall joined the Boston Bar Association in 2019 and currently serves as the president of the Boston Bar Foundation. He has previously served as the president of the Massachusetts Black Lawyers Association. He also served twice on the Massachusetts Judicial Nominating Commission, screening applicants for judicial nominations. Hall has defended companies in commercial and business disputes, product liability and mass tort claims and has also litigated insurance recovery disputes, employment discrimination, and white-collar crime defenses.

Hall is on the board of Lawyers for Civil Rights in Boston and also participates in philanthropic work throughout the community. He takes cases pro bono and supports the Kids in Need of Defense (KIND) Organization and the Innocence Project.
