’Tis the season for twinkle lights, holiday performances and avoiding politics during family dinners. Celebrate the December season at these themed cocktail bars popping up with over-the-top décor and holiday-inspired food and drink menus.

Santa’s Cantina at Loco Fenway

When: Nov. 14 to Jan. 3
Where: 61 Brookline Ave., Boston
Info: If Santa suddenly became fluent in Spanish, the result would be the Loco Taqueria holiday pop-up in Fenway. Every inch of the 9,500-square-foot space has been decorated for the season, and a pop-up menu boasts themed drinks and eats. 

Wusong Wonderland

When: Nov. 26 to Jan. 31
Where: 112 Mount Auburn St., Cambridge
Info: The holidays have exploded inside of the Wusong Road Tiki bar. You’ll be hard pressed to find a surface that isn’t glittering and the interior matches the festive cocktail and dishes from their seasonal menu.

Miracle Pop-up Bar at Mystic Station

When: Nov. 20 to Dec. 31
Where: 139 Pleasant St., Malden
Info: You can order cocktails like “Rudolph’s Replacement” and “Jingle Balls Nog” at the Miracle Bar pop-up at Mystic Station Eatery & Bar. The space has been completely transformed with floor-to-ceiling holiday décor, complete with Santa hats for every chair.

When: Nov. 11 to March 3
Where: 65 Seaport Blvd., Boston
Info: Boston may not be particularly mountainous, but you can still enjoy the après ski experience at Deck 12 with sweet and savory fondue, heated gondolas and other ski-themed decorations, plus breathtaking views of the city. No ski skills required. 

Maccabee Hanukkah Pop-Up Bar

When: Dec. 2 to Jan. 1
Where: 1 Bennett St., Cambridge
Info: You’ve never tasted Manischewitz wine and latkes like you will at this Hanukkah pop-up bar in the Charles Hotel. There are dreidels decorating the walls and a menu full of craft cocktails and festive noshes that are nothing like the traditions you’re used to.

Sippin’ Santa at Shore Leave

When: Nov. 26 to Jan. 31
Where: 11 William E. Mullins Way, Boston
Info: Shore Leave is another great place for Tiki drinks, and is the hot spot for all things holiday. In addition to a lavishly decorated kitschy Christmas space, Shore Leave will be mixing up a whole menu of festive drinks. You can even take home one of the custom holiday mugs.

Stratus Winter Oasis

When: Nov. 27 to Jan. 27
Where: 800 Boylston St., Boston
Info: Even if Boston doesn’t get any snow this year, it’ll feel like it at Stratus, the rooftop bar at View Boston in the
Prudential Center where all has become sparkly and draped in white. Enjoy the beautiful decorations while sipping festive drinks and ordering seasonal eats.

Louis Roederer Holiday Champagne Bar

When: Dec. 6 to Dec. 21 and Dec. 31
Where: 776 Boylston St., Boston
Info: To get a little bougie this holiday season, head to the Mandarin Oriental where you can indulge in Louis Roederer champagne, festive cocktails, and light bites and caviar. Cozy up by the fireplace and on select days listen to Berklee College of Music musicians perform live.
