Back to School Night

Time to gather up your school supplies at BAGLY’s Back to School Night Event! All school supplies are FREE! In addition to school supplies, this year there will also be tabling for STI Testing where you can sign up for a clinic appointment at BAGLY’s on-site clinic. Look for voter registration information for folks eligible to vote in this year’s election, and for those that are just interested in learning more about Voters’ Rights! In addition to school supplies, feel free to head down to the FREE on-site BAGLY Boutique, where you might find a new outfit for your first day back! This is a free event open to LGBTQ+ youth and young adults, ages 22 and under. Parents and caregivers are welcome to attend with their youth!

The Caribbean Street Market’s
Third Annual Back to School Pop-Up Shop
Aug. 31 | 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
715 River St., Hyde Park
This event features a bounce house, jumbo games and free food for kids. Sponsors are giving away over 100 backpacks (stuffed with school supplies) to kids for the coming academic year — plus one bag of free groceries to each family that attends. Stop by for free hairstyles, haircuts and retwists for the kids to get them ready for back to school. The safety of the community and children is top priority, so there will be tight security on the premises. There will also be free face painting, balloon arts and a bouncy house. Don’t miss the backpack giveaways, prizes, music, games, ice cream trucks and more. There will also be plenty of vendors on hand. Come out and support some amazing small businesses and enjoy a great day!
