Amplify Latinx, Massachusetts-based nonprofit non-partisan, collaborative convener advancing Latinx leadership representation, economic prosperity, and civic engagement, recently announced Eneida Román as its new president and CEO. Román is the co-founder of Amplify Latinx, she previously served as chair of its board of directors and was instrumental in delivering on the organization’s mission during her tenure. The Amplify Latinx board unanimously voted to appoint Román President & CEO, and proudly welcomes Román, based upon her unparalleled vision and broad experience, transformative and effective leadership skills, and her ability to meaningfully deliver on the organization’s crucial mission.

A nationally recognized business leader, Román is a trained attorney and organizational psychologist who brings more than 20 years of experience in organizational development, conflict resolution, cultural competence, and public affairs. Román is known as a catalytic pacesetter and an ardent champion of advancing women and Latinos across sectors nationwide.

She is an accomplished, competent, and high caliber leader who brings the gravitas needed to execute on our ambitious goals of closing opportunity gaps for Latinos. Her tireless work has been pivotal to the impact Amplify Latinx has had in the Latino community. She is stepping up to serve because it’s a moment to serve and maximize Amplify Latinx’s mission and vision.”

Román will be taking a sabbatical from her private law practice to assume her new role as president & CEO of Amplify Latinx to lead the organization’s mission to connect and champion Latinx civic and business leaders through high-impact initiatives that support their advancement and representation in leadership roles across sectors.

Román has served in prominent board leadership roles in the American Bar Association, the Hispanic National Bar Association, and the Massachusetts Bar Association. Eneida is a Governor Appointee to the Massachusetts Workforce Training Fund Advisory Board. She currently serves on HOPE’s Bi-National Advisory Council, Latino Victory’s National Committee, ALPFA’s National Board of Directors, the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce Women’s Advisory Board, the Boston Women’s Workforce Council, MassINC’s Board of Directors and on Eastern Bank’s Board of Ambassadors.

Among other notable accolades, Eneida is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, a distinction limited to one percent of lawyers licensed to practice in each jurisdiction. Eneida has also been distinguished nationally as a Top Latino Attorney by Latino Leaders Magazine for several consecutive years. She is admitted to practice law in the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, Massachusetts Federal District Court, First Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
