Go from COVID to College at MassBay Community College

At MassBay, we understand how tough it is out there. We know how hard our students work – in and out of the classroom. Many of our students are working and have family obligations while they are in college, and that is why we do everything we can to support our students.

There are a million reasons why attending MassBay makes sense. Here are four of them.

Financial Aid and Scholarships. We keep tuition as low as possible, but we do not stop there. We also give more than $300,000 in scholarship funding to our students each year. We have experienced counselors to guide you through the financial aid process, ensuring you will receive all the funds you are entitled to. MassBay is committed to providing all our students with an affordable path to the education, training, and credentials they need to advance their careers.

Practical Education. MassBay offers more than 70 associate degree and certificate programs in areas of study that prepare students for the good jobs of today and tomorrow. Are you seeking a rewarding career where you help and care for others? Why not try health care? We offer one- and two-year programs in surgical technology, nursing, EMT/Paramedicine, central processing, medical assistant training, and more. Do you love cars? Start the ignition on your automotive technology career at MassBay, where students learn on the latest models of Chryslers and General Motors. Is math, computers, or science your thing? We have programs in biotechnology, cybersecurity, engineering, statistics and much more. Of course, we have business and the liberal arts covered as well, with accounting, education, law, psychology, sociology, and many more programs to explore. Our faculty are experienced, compassionate instructors who are experts in their field and care about our students. No matter what subject interests you, MassBay is the place to learn, explore, and grow your career skills.

Flexibility. We understand how busy life is, so MassBay offers classes you can take on your own time. Many classes are offered online so you can log on anytime, from anywhere. Others have a set time for you to log in and join a virtual classroom. Some are a mix, with hands-on lab time at one of our Ashland, Framingham, or Wellesley Hills campuses, combined with coursework that can be done anytime from home. Go for a year, get a certificate. Stay for two years, earn an associate degree. Or, join us part time and earn your degree over time. We offer a step-by-step pathway that will get you where you want to be, at your own pace and on your time. If you are thinking about a bachelor’s degree, you can transfer the credits you earn at MassBay to most universities, including guaranteed admission to UMass and other state universities through the Mass Transfer program. Start here, save thousands of dollars.

Value. On average, people in Massachusetts who have an associate degree earn $12,400 more per year than someone with just a high school diploma or the equivalent. Enrolling at MassBay is an investment in your future, and the skills, training, and credentials you take with you will be yours forever. In fact, for every dollar a student invests in MassBay, they receive $5.50 in lifetime earnings. You cannot find that good of a return on investment on Wall Street or anywhere else!

Helping you pay for college. Flexible hours and a clear pathway to success. An education that leads to a good job. Return value for what you pay. That is what MassBay can do for you. Join us for our virtual Spring Open House on Saturday, May 1 at massbay.edu. Portuguese and Spanish translators will be available. Registration is now open for summer classes starting in May and July; and for fall semester starting on September 7. Start here, go anywhere!
