Local groups are making a push for a cultural district in Roxbury. The groups recently unveiled an online tool that will allow members of the public to share their ideas on what should be included and featured in such a district.
The interactive digital mapping tool was released by Sasaki Associates and facilitates the planning process by allowing users to peg what they regard as Roxbury’s cultural assets. Users can place on the map icons that identify different categories of cultural interest, such as theaters, burial grounds and educational spaces, and add comments.
The tool is live until August 3, 2016.
