You must take and pass both the written examination and the ELPAT to be placed on the eligible list. Apply online at www.MASS.GOV/CivilService
You must apply online using a Visa or MasterCard or request a fee waiver. No personal checks or cash will be accepted. The fee covers both the written and physical components of the examination.
