Student Services Coordinator

Organization Information:

CCAE is a nonprofit organization with an annual operating budget of $2 million and a staff of 18 FTEs. We run 2,000+ classes over 4 terms, taught by 350+ professionals who are experts in their chosen fields. CCAE owns and operates two historically preserved properties in vibrant Harvard Square. Position Summary:

The Student Services Coordinator is a full time and key customer service staff member of the organization. The person in this position is a public face of the organization to current and prospective students, as well as CCAE faculty, board members, and staff. The Student Services Coordinator handles sensitive student information relating to scholarships, personal data, and payment information while processing student registrations. She/he works extensively with the Senior Welcome Officer, other Welcome Staff and with the Business Manager on reconciling student registration activity and concerns. The position reports to the CCAE’s Business Manager.


Job Functions:

  • Work in registration office daily
  • Process daily registrations (using Higher Reach© registration software) with students in person or over the phone
  • Process and approve scholarship applications
  • Manage online queries from students and the general public
  • Assist in student purchases for friends and family
  • Assist other staff as needed in classroom setups and general building organization


Job Qualifications:

  • Strong customer service and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication facility
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) and Google applications
  • Fluent English (Spanish and/or Portuguese a plus, not required)


Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary range $30,000 – $32,000
  • Paid vacation, Medical insurance, 403(b), free classes
