Tonight (Thursday) ArtsEmerson presents the premiere of Robert Lepage’s reimagined version of his acclaimed show Needles and Opium, a cinematic exploration of art, love and addiction, at the Emerson/Cutler Majestic Theatre at 7 p.m. Tickets: $25, $39, $59 and $79; www.artsemerson.org.

Urban Improv’s annual fundraiser Banned In Boston returns this Friday night to the House of Blues at 7:30 p.m. to raise funds for its youth theater programs. Banned In Boston features local celebrities, media personalities, politicians, and business, arts and community leaders performing musical satire and skits.
