Development Associate – Full-time

Madison Park Development Corporation (MPDC) seeks a self-motivated professional with unwavering integrity and dedication. Reporting to and in partnership with the Resource Development Manager and Vice President of Programs, you will support new and existing development efforts as Madison Park continues to grow. This is a new position in the organization and you will assist in expanding the work of resource development at MPDC through individual giving efforts, events planning, membership coordination and support for grants and contract solicitation from foundations, public agencies and corporations.
Responsibilities:
- Help create and execute strategies to build a sustained base of individual donors
- Provide support for MPDC’s Community Investment Tax Credit program by staffing CITC committees; planning cultivation events; and identifying and tracking individual donors
- Help to develop and maintain ongoing relationships with donors
- Support and build Hibernian Hall membership (Friends of Hibernian Hall) through a range of strategies and activities including oversight of design and production of membership materials and electronic correspondence
- Hold responsibility for organization of annual events including an annual gala in support of Hibernian Hall; 6 receptions for Friends of Hibernian Hall; and 6 CITC cultivation events
- Assist in research, development and tracking of proposals and reports for foundation and corporate fundraising
- Manage the resource development database and hold responsibility for data entry and gift processing
- Be responsible for office and administrative tasks such as turn-out calls, photocopying and filing
Qualifications:
- College degree OR Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in fundraising and/or marketing in a non-profit setting
- Graphic Design experience preferred
- Customer Service Skills
- Events planning experience
- Solid organizational and communication skills
- Excellent writing skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office AND Publisher
- Knowledge of Salesforce
- Experience in individual giving preferred
- Knowledge of IContact preferred
- Knowledge of community development and/or community arts preferred
- Sense of humor
- Commitment to growing in the position
