Human Resources Generalist
The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for but not limited to the following duties and responsibilities: benefits management and administration including annual renewal negotiations/structure, development and implementation of open enrollment and routine enrollment, modifications, terminations and COBRA; full responsibility for on-boarding of new employees, volunteers, students and interns including salary evaluations, offer letters and processing of employment documents; processing and implementation transactions including promotions, demotions, reclassifications, increases/decreases in hours, increases/decreases in benefits, etc.; personnel file maintenance both manually, and via HRIS (ABRA) ; in conjunction with other assigned staff, implement monthly orientation program; ensuring compliance with all federal and state regulations including required reporting such as EEO1, HRID etc.; intake and managing of Worker’s Comp claims; intake and managing of LOAs including FMLA, MMLA, HHSILOA etc.; providing technical assistance to employees and participate in the development of policies and procedures; ensuring thorough and timely processing of employment documentation; and supporting managers in responding to employee needs. Other duties include but are not limited to preparing for and participating in regulatory audits as well as conducting periodic internal audits; filing, faxing, copying and corporate administrative duties as needed.
Minimum Skills, Experience and Educational Requirements
BA or BS in Human Resources, Business, Healthcare or a related field,
3 Years in a professional business environment preforming Human Resources functions as described above,
Excellent organizational skills,
Excellent customer service skills both in person and on the telephone,
Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
Intermediate knowledge of the following Microsoft applications: Word, Excel and Outlook ,
Understanding and ability to fully utilize HRIS systems including recruitment, personnel and training applications, Intermediate Internet skills for searches.
Substitutions for Skills, Experience and Education
6 or more years in a professional Human Resources position preforming above noted duties for a BA or BS
Preferred Skills, Experience and Educational Requirements
5- 10 Years of experience at a professional level preforming all of the above noted duties,
Expertise in the development and implementation of training programs.
