The 12th Annual Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival is well underway with enthusiastic crowds and full venues. Attendees now have something special to look forward to with the appearance of Director Spike Lee and the preview of the HBO Comedy Special, Katt Williams Priceless and Afterlife, Saturday Augus t 9th .

Spike Lee, accomplished filmmaker and always outspoken, is definitely a “must see” for festival attendees. Katt Williams’, “Priceless Afterlife: Everybody has a price, if you didn’t you’d be priceless” will officially premiere on HBO, August 16th. HBO, a longtime major sponsor of MVAAFF, is hosting this exclusive festival screening of their HBO Comedy Special.

Katt Williams :”Priceless and Afterlife” will screen at 5:00 -6:30 pm, Saturday August, 9th at the MV Performing Arts Center. “Color of Conversation” with Director Spike Lee will follow. The Festival is produced by Run&Shoot Films whose mission is to provide a positive environment where filmmakers can share their thoughts, visions and aspirations.

For over a decade, the #SummersFinestFilmFestival has hosted an impressive variety of African American independent films and created an effective platform for filmmakers. From it’s humble beginnings in 2002 it has grown into the “must attend” event for notable filmmakers such as Jeffrey Wright, Del Roy Lindo, Reuben Cannon, Kenny Leon, Ben Vereen, and Reginald Hudlin.
