Outreach & Enrollment Representative

The Bilingual Outreach & Enrollment Representative will be responsible for the implementation of the outreach and enrollment plan as it pertains to providing both patients and non-patients of the health centers assistance in securing access to available health insurance coverage and health care services. Duties include but are not limited to: identifying the needs of the uninsured and underinsured regarding lack of coverage and access to care, raising awareness of insurance options such as Health Insurance Marketplace, MassHealth and the Children’s Health Insurance Program, and providing eligibility and enrollment assistance to uninsured patients of the health center and residents.

The Outreach and Enrollment Representative will establish positive relationships and collaborate with other health centers, provider agencies and community organizations to ensure coordination of outreach and enrollment activities and timely distribution of relevant materials and information. The Representative will organize and/or participate in community events and health fairs, develop and execute relevant presentations and support the efforts of the marketing department in reaching out to the uninsured and underinsured.

Minimum Skills, Experience and Educational Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent,

At least 3 years of employment in a professional setting,

Basic Knowledge and/or understanding of MassHealth and MassHealth products, Health Insurance Marketplace, Children’s Health Insurance Program,

Excellent communication and presentation skills,

Oral and written fluency in English,

Oral and written fluency in Spanish and/or Vietnamese,

Knowledge of and ability to network with community resources,

Excellent customer service skills,

Ability to work independently and to work as part of a team in collaboration with other professionals,

Ability to set priorities and observe deadlines,

Computer Literate with Intermediate Level Excel, Word, Publisher and Power Point skills.

Preferred Skills, Experience and Educational Requirements:

Professional experience in marketing, customer service, or community organizing,

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, or a related field such as Business Administration or Public Health,

Experience with public speaking experience.
