Financial Information Manager
Overview
Brookline Community Foundation exists to promote a strong, engaged and inclusive community. Responsibilities:
The Financial Information Manager is a part-time position (20-30 hours/week) depending upon workflow and has primary responsibility for providing financial, administrative and informational support for the Finance and Operations Director. Responsibilities include:
Oversee BCF’s financial information assets including the accuracy, security, timeliness, and consistency of data stored electronically and hard copy
Perform data quality control processes and data entry
Ensure accurate and timely entry of gifts, pledges, grants and accounts payable
Manage profiles for all constituents
Utilize FIMS to enter journal entries and create reports/templates as needed
Assist with human resources management and payroll
Work closely with the Finance Director to ensure secure, timely, and appropriate flow of financial and donor information
Recommend, plan and implement continued FIMS process improvement to ensure increasing value of FIMS investment
Recommend, document and follow internal processes and practices
Perform other duties as assigned by Finance Director
Qualifications:
BA preferred
2-3 years of related bookkeeping experience
Highly organized and detailed-oriented
Experience with FIMS (or other fund accounting software) a plus
A successful track record in setting priorities; keen analytic, organization and problem solving skills which support and enable sound decision making
Ability to efficiently work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and relationship building skills
Proficiency with software such as Word and Excel
A multi-tasker with the ability to wear many hats in a fast-paced environment
Discretion and respect for information privacy
Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and dedication to the mission of BCF
Salary/Benefits: This is a part-time benefit-eligible position and the salary is commensurate with experience. The BCF office has a flexible work schedule.
