Polly A. Tatum
The Worcester County Bar Association (WCBA) recently announced that attorney Polly A. Tatum has officially begun her term as the 123rd president of the association. In doing so, she becomes only the third female and the first African American to preside over the WCBA.
Tatum is a solo practitioner focusing on divorce and family mediation, same sex and second parent adoptions, family law and estate planning.
She has a long history with community involvement in Worcester County, serving on various nonprofit boards both past and present, including Girls, Inc.; the United Way of Central Massachusetts; and the MLK Jr. Business Empowerment Center.
She has also served as an executive committee member of the WBCA and a four-year-term as co-chair of the association’s alternative dispute resolution.
Born in Ayer, Mass., Tatum obtained her bachelor’s degree from New Hampshire College, her JD from Massachusetts School of Law in Andover, Mass.; and her LLM in estate planning and elder law from Western New England College School of Law.
The WCBA, founded in 1887, is a voluntary association of more than 1,100 members.
