Ten years later: Love is the victor Boston: Ten years ago the events of September 11, in one way or another, changed the world as we knew it. Suddenly it appeared as though no one was safe anywhere. Since then billions of dollars have been spent and untold man-hours logged, but do we feel safer? International speaker Marta Greenwood says, “I absolutely believe that there is a spiritual law that provides peace and security—that we can be freed from fear of harm and devastation.”
Greenwood, a teacher and practitioner of Christian Science healing, explores this spiritual law in her talk, “Ten years later: Love is the victor.” The talk takes place on Sunday, September 11, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at The First Church of Christ, Scientist at 210 Massachusetts Avenue.
“Love, to me, is the outpouring of Spirit or God, and this Love operates as a law that is accessible right where we apply it,” Greenwood says. “During this lecture we’ll learn about the spiritual law of Love that can help each of us feel safe every day. Come and hear how I put these ideas into practice when I was in London on the day of the subway bombing.” Greenwood’s ideas are based on the teachings of Jesus as recorded in the Bible, and as explained in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. |
