Addrienne Walker
Dorchester resident Addrienne Walker was recently named Information Technology Services Manager for Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts (GSEM).
GSEM Chief Executive Officer Ruth N. Bramson appointed Walker to the position as part of a larger realignment plan and organizational restructuring. Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts was formed in February through the merger of three existing Girl Scout councils operating in the eastern Massachusetts territory: Patriots’ Trail, Southeastern Massachusetts and Spar and Spindle.
The reconfigured organization serves 45,500 girl members and 17,000 volunteers living in towns and cities spanning the eastern part of Massachusetts, stretching from the border of New Hampshire south to the Cape and Islands, along the South Coast to Fall River, and west to Marlborough. Programs and services are delivered to girls through 28 program centers in 178 communities in eastern Massachusetts.
Prior to her appointment to her present position, Walker served as the manager of information technology services for the Patriots’ Trail council. Before joining the council, she gained experience working as a systems administrator/analyst for the Boston University School of Medicine, and with the City of Boston.
“Addrienne is experienced working with all levels of staff in providing support with computer and networking problems, troubleshooting and new server installation,” the Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts said in a statement announcing the appointment.
Walker earned a bachelor’s degree in management information systems from Northeastern University.
