Good afternoon, folks. We’re here testing out the functionality of the Banner’s soon-to-be-launched Editor’s Blog. And I can’t think of any better way than to just toss a bunch of stuff up here and see how it looks.

You’ll be seeing a lot of him around here. You may know him from past stints at publications like The Boston Globe and The Boston Herald, or perhaps from his time at Newsweek or as the former host of WGBH-TV’s Basic Black. But for the past couple of years, he’s been here, messing around calling people names striving for consistent excellence at Boston’s longest running African American publication.
Howard will probably learn to do a bunch of stuff in this space over the course of time. For example, he may be interested in throwing up some YouTube gold and giving his two cents on it, then asking for yours. Like maybe this:
