GRACE BAPTIST CHURCH PRESERVATION

Somerville Hispanic Association for Community Development, the Awarding Authority, requests bids for slate roofing and flashing repairs and curved gutter replacement at the Grace Baptist Church, Somerville, Massachusetts, which is listed in the State Register of Historic Places. The project is being partially funded with a grant from the Massachusetts Preservation Projects Fund through the Massachusetts Historical Commission.

All work must be performed in accordance with the documents prepared by and available from Spencer & Vogt Group Inc., 1 Thompson Square, Suite 504, Charlestown, Massachusetts 02129 (617-227-2675) and meet the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties. State law prohibits discrimination. Awarding of this contract is subject to Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity guidelines.

A pre-bid meeting will be held at the Church at 59 Cross Street, Somerville on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at 10:00 AM.

Bids shall be evaluated on the basis of price, previous experience with similar types of construction projects, ability to perform the work in a timely manner, and references. All bids must be delivered to the architect’s office at the above address no later than 12:00 noon, Thursday, February 1, 2018 to be eligible for consideration.
