4th Annual Boston Seafood Festival – August 2nd

The Boston Fisheries Foundation is hosting the 4th annual Boston Seafood Festival Sunday, Aug. 2, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the historic Boston Fish Pier. The event promises to bring the freshest, most delicious local seafood from New England’s favorite dining destinations. The festival is a family-oriented event, promoting fisheries education and inspiring all ages to learn more about the sustainably of our region’s fishing industry.

Festival attractions include an all-day lobster bake, local chef demonstrations, live music, arts and crafts vendors, a blessing of the fleet, notable speakers, face painting, costumed characters, and more. Plus, don’t miss the Battle of the Shuckers oyster-shucking and fish-cutting contests.

New for 2015, there will be a Harpoon Brewery beer garden offering guests a variety of its outstanding local craft beers.

“This is a fun summer event for residents and tourists alike to enjoy the very best from New England’s seafood industry while supporting the Boston Fisheries Foundation’s educational mission,” said Chris Basile, president of the Boston Fisheries Foundation’s Board of Directors. “Please join us for a great day of delicious seafood, activities for all ages and a celebration of the past, present and future of the tastes from the sea that make our region so special.”

General admission tickets are $15. For children 6-12, the cost is $5, and for children 5 and under the event is free. Lobster bake tickets are $35.

The festival receives generous support from Massport and the Harpoon Brewery.
