Sen. Forry, Plumber’s Local 12 to hold open house
State Rep. Linda Dorcena Forry.

Senator Linda Dorcena Forry in conjunction with Brian Doherty of the Boston Building Trades Council and Mark Erlich of the New England Regional Council of Carpenters will be hosting several open house fairs at union halls throughout Boston for individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in the trades. The first in the series will take place this Saturday, January 24, 2015 from 9:00am to 11:00am at the Plumbers Local 12 Training Center with Secretary/Treasurer Harry Brett, at 1240 Massachusetts Avenue in Dorchester.

“These jobs have the ability to lift whole families out of poverty, and create new opportunities,” said Forry, whose district includes Dorchester, Mattapan, South Boston and Hyde Park. “We want people to come to these events and learn about the apprenticeship programs and potential jobs unions in our neighborhoods can provide.”
