Individual Work Activities

Position Assumptions:

The Project Director is primarily focused on handling the operational aspects of the project, as well as on building alliances to support the project’s success. This assumes the project will have curriculum development support and high-level training support coming from other sources:

  1. Daniel Beaty and a curriculum development consultant will be responsible for developing curricula for all I DREAM program activities: the Young Dreamers program, Catalyst workshops for adults, the development of community strategies for social change, and facilitator training to implement these program activities. (The curriculum for Catalyst workshops for youth has already been developed.)
  2. Daniel Beaty and a master trainer will be responsible for two things: training trainers to facilitate workshops and other program activities, and providing quality control that develops trainers and builds a skilled and committed cadre of trainers over time.
  3. The Project Director will:
  • Be familiar enough with training to recruit, orient, and support facilitators who deliver the program curriculum.
  • Be familiar enough with curriculum development to work with Daniel and the IDB Steering Committee to revise the curriculum as needed to adapt to local conditions.
  • Be familiar enough with the program and its evaluation results to engage with other program directors in knowledge exchange and identification of priorities for program improvement and development.
