Director of Veterans Services/ Veterans Services Officer

The Town of Easton is accepting applications for a qualified individual to fill the position of Director of Veterans Services/Veterans Services Officer. Minimum Qualifications – High School Graduation and three years of administrative or professional experience in social services or human resources field or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidate must be a United States Veteran (including wartime service) and possess and maintain a valid Massachusetts Drivers License. Must have proficient computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office. Other duties include the administration and coordination of benefits for the Veterans Services Department; coordination of transportation for disabled and ill veterans to and from hospitals and health care providers; makes personal visits to claimants unable to visit the office; serves as Burial Officer and may serve as Graves Officer for veterans or eligible dependents.

This is a salaried Union position, 40 hour work-week with a starting salary of $57,895 annually and excellent benefits.
