We have an exciting new full-time position: Membership Recruitment Specialist! This field-based position will report to the Recruitment Team Leader and is responsible for recruitment and retention of girls and adults to achieve membership goals in the assigned area that includes the cities and towns of Boston, including Dorchester, East Boston, and South Boston. The membership goals will be achieved through community cultivation, assessing community needs, development and implementation of recruitment strategies, and support of volunteers. This position will develop and implement a comprehensive recruitment and retention plan utilizing community demographics, schools statistics, and community profiles.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a membership organization along with two years experience developing and conducting face-to-face or in-person recruitment events. Other requirements:

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings and weekends.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to motor vehicle, necessary to carry our responsibilities
  • Strong public relations skills and ability to develop community collaborations
  • Strong decision making and conflict resolution skills. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables and personalities
  • Be self-directed and take initiative
  • The ability to work with individual of diverse backgrounds and ages
  • Bilingual skill is desirable
