What’s Hot in the City

This time of the year, the city is abuzz with a host of live performances from concerts and plays to theatre, art and even dining al fresco. Here’s a look at what’s hot in Boston this week!

Every Tuesday, Darryl’s Corner Bar & Kitchen presents “Reggae Tuesday Night” from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.

If “hard-edged blues” is your thing, then go see The Dirty Bourbon River Show at the Regattabar in Cambridge this Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m.

This Thursday, August 22, Madrid percussionist Sergio Martinez performs at Atlantic Wharf in Downtown Boston at 12pm. Admission is free. It’s all part of Berklee’s “Summer in the City” series.

This weekend, Grammy Award winner Oleta Adams performs at Scullers Jazz Club for two shows each night at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. For tickets, visit www.scullersjazz.com.

Catch comedian Corey Holcomb this Friday, August 23 at The Wilbur for one show at 7:30 p.m.

If you’re a daredevil at heart, then don’t miss the “Red Bull Cliff Diving Series” this Sunday at 2pm at The Institute of Contemporary Art, where the best high divers in the world will leap off the ICA’s rooftop into the Boston Harbor.
