Associate Boston Parks Commissioner Charles Titus will add to his long list of accomplishments when he is inducted into the Little East Conference Hall of Fame.

As the vice chancellor for athletics and recreation, special projects, and intramurals at UMass Boston, Titus has been instrumental not only in the growth of UMass Boston athletics, but also college athletics throughout New England and the country. He also played an integral role in the formation and development of the Little East Conference. For his contributions to the Little East Conference, Titus was named to the inaugural Hall of Fame class and will be inducted on October 27.

Titus grew up in Roxbury and attended Boston Technical High School before attending Saint Michael’s College. Titus has also served on the NCAA Division III Membership Committee, the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Board of Directors as the former chair of the ECAC Basketball Commemorative Officials Committee, and is a former member of the NCAA Regional Basketball Committee.

Over the last 13 years, Titus has been inducted into three different Halls of Fame: Saint Michael’s College, where he was a standout basketball player before graduating in 1972; the UMass Boston Hall of Fame and the New England Basketball Hall of Fame.
