Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts (BCBSMA) recently announced the appointment of Liveda Clements of Boston as the Senior Manager of its Business Relations and Supplier Diversity department.

BCBSMA’s Business Relations and Supplier Diversity department is charged with creating business relationships with certified minority and women-owned business enterprises (M/WBEs). Equally important, the department performs a key role in helping M/WBEs grow to scale by providing access to business development programs.

Prior to joining BCBSMA in 2008, Clements was a network manager at Goldman Sachs in London where she was responsible for analyzing the legal frameworks imposed by regulators of global securities markets.

Clements serves on the advisory councils of the Great New England Minority Supplier Development Council and the Center for Women and Enterprise.  She also works closely with the State Office of Minority and Women Business Assistance and the Initiative for a New Economy. Her community involvement includes serving on the board of the Roxbury Comprehensive Community Health Center as well as the advisory council of the Boston Center for Community and Justice: LeadBoston.

Clements received her master’s degree in public administration from the City University of New York under the auspice of the National Urban Fellow program.  She holds a bachelor of arts degree from Boston University.
