Lauretta Siggers

Lauretta Siggers this fall joined The American Red Cross of Massachusetts Bay as the organization’s director of human resources, bringing to the Red Cross an extensive experience in human resources management in both the nonprofit and the corporate for-profit sectors.

“Lauretta understands the unique employee needs of a complex service-delivery organization, and how essential Red Cross programs are to our communities,” said American Red Cross of Massachusetts Bay Chief Executive Officer Deborah C. Jackson. “She is an invaluable addition to our management team and will help to increase workforce opportunities and develop incentives that will motivate and grow our organizational staff and volunteer base.”

Siggers previously served as the national human resources manager for Building Educated Leaders for Life (BELL), a national nonprofit with headquarters in Boston and offices in New York and Baltimore, Md. There, she oversaw all aspects of human resources service, including compensation and benefits management, compliance and reporting, recruitment and hiring, training program development and employee communications and support.

Prior to joining BELL, Siggers was manager of recruitment for the American Student Assistance Corporation. She was responsible for managing a broad range of functions associated with the employment process, including recruitment strategy, development and execution for a multimillion-dollar organization with over 500 hundred employees during a time of significant growth and high demand for new staff. She has also worked as a human resources representative for Fidelity Investments in Boston, where she provided support in the area of employee relations for over 1,000 employees.

Ms. Siggers lives in Hyde Park and has three children.
