Community Advocate

On The Rise, Inc. is a Cambridge, MA-based non-profit that creates a community where women have the relationships, safety, and resources they need to move out of homelessness. We engage with those most in need and support their initiative and strength as they move beyond crisis and discover new possibilities.

We are looking for a Community Advocate to complete the 6-member team that operates our Safe Haven program. Community Advocates work directly with women who use the programs, helping provide for basic human needs and giving long-term, broad-based support, such as assistance accessing other programs, accompaniment and advocacy.

Candidates will share a commitment to On The Rise’s mission, and will have three years’ experience with homelessness, trauma, substance abuse, mental illness, or related issues. Relevant life experience will also be strongly considered for the position.
