Boston-area charter public schools to hold enrollment showcase

baystatebanner

Charter public schools in the Boston area will hold a free information and enrollment showcase on Saturday, January 24th from 9 AM to noon at Wentworth Institute of Technology.

The showcase is a great opportunity for parents to learn about the academic programs offered by different Boston-area charter public schools, many of which have the highest MCAS scores in the city. Parents can meet with leaders from those schools, and complete enrollment forms for the fall 2015 school year.

For each enrollment form you fill out, you may be required to submit up to two proofs of address (utility bills or rental lease) and a copy of the student’s birth certificate. Please bring plenty of copies with you, as there isn’t a photocopier onsite!

Translators who speak Cape Verdean, Chinese, Portuguese, Somali, Spanish, and Vietnamese will be available.

Charter schools are tuition-free public schools that are open to all children in Grades K-12. Enrollment for each school is determined by lottery, which will be held in March.

The showcase is being held in the Watson Auditorium at Wentworth Institute of Technology, 550 Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA 02115. For more information, call 617-523-0881, or visit www.masscharterschools.org.
