Brooke Woodson named vice president at Madison Park Development Corporation

Madison Park Development Corporation, a community-based, nonprofit organization focused on developing affordable housing for low and moderate income residents, has hired Brooke Woodson as vice president of programs.

In his role at MPDC, Woodson will oversee operations at Hibernian Hall, government and media relations and organizational administration.

For the last 20 years, Woodson served as director of the City of Boston’s Small & Local Business Enterprise Office where he managed the city’s contract compliance program for business and construction employment opportunities. He was responsible for the second largest certification agency in the Commonwealth with a database of over 1,000 businesses. He also served as director of the Boston Employment Commission, which oversees the Boston Residents Jobs Policy. He also served as chief of staff to the late City Council President Bruce C. Bolling.

“Brooke’s background and expertise will allow us to expand our community economic development work in Roxbury,” said MPDC CEO Jeanne Pinado.

Woodson is a graduate of Boston University with a master’s degree in Urban Affairs. He received his bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University. He currently resides in Boston with his wife and son.
