Kick Up Your Personal Style with Bold and Colorful African Print

Africa has long been the birth place of many of the most sought after things on the planet. From rich resources to beautiful people, the Motherland cranks out the cream of the crop.

Another amazing thing Africa has given the world (you know besides life itself) is crazy, sexy cool, fashion. African prints have long been a staple in the black community. Their bold colors and sex appeal is hard to deny. Rising and falling in popular fashion trends from decade to decade, the current revival is going strong and steady. So here are some ways to add a kick to your personal style with African print.

Headwrap

This is a fun and flirty way to add the popular print to your wardrobe. They are easy to tie on your head and can be done in many way (just check the countless YouTube videos). They’re great to wear because they can be incorporated with other trendy non-African print pieces like skinny jeans and a crop top.

Dresses

This is probably the way that most women really get their African print fix and it is easy to see why. Dresses are feminine and they make you feel pretty. Add in some color rich patterns and you have a look that is both unique and connected. From short fitted dresses to fully sweeping one, this is an effective way to really kick up your personal style via some funky and even engaging afro print.

Accessories-Purses

This is a clever way to get the print into your wardrobe with endless opportunities to really make a statement. An African print purse is not like other handbags because even a polka print clutch can get overlooked. But not an afro inspired one. You can’t help but look and wonder about it. From shoes to totes, you can’t go wrong. Sport a black dress with an afro print clutch and you are ready to take on your night.

Tiffany White of Butter and Bobbins offers a wide array of vibrant purses to choose from with vegan leather! If you love the images in this article be sure to check out her online store at: https://www.etsy.com/shop/LovinTheSkinUrIn?ref=search_shop_redirect

Accessories- Jewelry

This is perhaps one of my favorite ways to rock afro print/ afro inspired looks. From wooded earrings, to beaded bracelets, it’s a sure way to get afro print in your life.

At times, they may be small, but they send a loud and clear message.

Whatever you do, if you like colors and prints, you have to get some African print clothing. Always stylish and ever present, it helps to diversify your closet and make for great conversational pieces at your next social event.
