What’s Hot in the City

This time of the year, the city is abuzz with a host of live performances from concerts and plays to theatre, art and even dining al fresco. Here’s a look at what’s hot in Boston this week!

On Monday, the Lizard Lounge presents the “Open Mic Challenge” at 8 p.m. For more information, go to www.lizardloungeclub.com.

This Wednesday, August 7 the “Under The Influence of Music Tour” featuring Wiz Khalifa and A$AP Rocky hits the Comcast Center in Mansfield at 6 p.m.

Comedian Steve Byrne brings his “The Sullivan & Son Comedy Tour” to The Wilbur this Wednesday, August 8 at 8 p.m.

Every Thursday, beginning at 9 p.m. Wally’s Café hosts Latin Jazz.

Kelly Clarkson and Maroon 5 play the Comcast Center this Friday, August 9 at 7 p.m.

Also, this Friday, the ICA presents “DJs on the Harbor” featuring the spinning duo of Tanlines from 7:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. Tickets: $10 members + students and $15 for nonmembers.

The Lee Wilson Movement hosts the dance party “Mango’s Latin Saturdays” featuring the very best in Salsa, Meringue and International Pop at the Milky Way in Jamaica Plain. The dancing kicks off at 10 p.m. Cover: $10.

This weekend, it’s the “Legends of the Summer” Stadium Tour with Justin Timberlake and Jay Z at Fenway Park. There are still some seats left at www.etix.com.

The Multicultural Arts Center in Cambridge presents the exhibit Cuba: Printed Stories on view featuring two contemporary Cuban printmakers, Norberto Marrero and Janette Brossard, telling stories of ordinary and staged life through unique etchings, screen prints, collagraphs, woodcuts and engravings.
