in the Mix
11/1/2011, 7:32 p.m.
During the quick trip, I caught a few independent flicks and hobnobbed with the beautiful people like “rising star” Cedric Sanders, who stars in the feature “Rocksteady.” You may not recognize the name but you may recognize his face as the only person of color in the drama “The Social Network.”
In between the films and panels, I stopped by one of my favorite restaurants on Sunset called Cravings. It’s great for people watching and later on I hung out with comedian Dom Irrera over at the Laugh Factory, and was treated to sets by Aries Spears from “MADtv” and Dean Edwards, formerly of “Saturday Night Live.”
I hated to leave the 80-degree plus weather and all the fun, but it was back to the “Bean” for a little reality check and cold weather.
