Earthquake and Gary Owen at the Wilbur Theatre

I finally got a chance to see comic Gary Owen from Tyler Perry’s “House of Payne” and this dude is hilarious!!! He’s been around for over ten years and is finally becoming known to a wider audience. Owen had the audience clapping their hands and stomping their feet that night as he prepped the crowd for the man of the hour, Earthquake.  Joining in on the fun was local sports personality Coach Willie Maye, former WILD-AM Program Director, Rick Anderson and long-time Boston “spinmaster” Ron Boston.

After the show, the laughter and good times continued over at the W hotel’s comfy and cozy bar/lounge, where I met Fernando from Chile.  But that’s a story for another day. While chatting it up in the lobby, the Duchess herself, Fergie Ferg from the Black Eyed Peas came strutting into the hotel all glammed up after their show at the Garden. She was smiling and ended up taking a couple of pictures with fans before she was swept up by security right into the elevator. It was so quick that if you had blinked, you would have missed her.
