Third Annual Boston Latino TV Access Awards at Royal Nightclub
Later that week, it was off to the Boston Latino TV Access Awards at Royale Nightclub to celebrate the accomplishments of successful dream makers of the Latino community. The night began with a red carpet photo arrival followed by a V.S.O.P. reception courtesy of Hennessy Royal Privilege with DJ Matos mixing house, Latin and international beats throughout the night.
In the 300-plus crowd I spotted, Pulitzer Prize winning author Junot Diaz (one of the night’s honorees), Jose Masso, (who was being recognized for his 35 years of hosting WBUR-FM’s weekly bilingual radio program “Con Salsa!”) and BNN-TV’s general manager Curtis Henderson Jr.
But the real reason we were there was to honor and recognize individuals and organizations that have demonstrated commitment to the advancement of the Latino community by using their influences, creativity, leadership, networks, vision, spirit and talent.
