Circle The City and the Fenway Alliance will present the first of two events this year. The first event, Open Streets on the Avenue of the Arts will feature car-free programming on Huntington Avenue between Belvidere Street and Brigham Circle (Tremont Street). The outbound side of Huntington Avenue (Route 9) will be closed to buses and cars to allow for more than 50 activities for thousands of residents and visitors to play together in the streets of Boston. The event footprint connects the Fenway, Mission Hill, Roxbury, Back Bay and the South End. Now in its second year, Circle The City promises to be bigger and better with two significant street closures that will transform city streets into 'paved parks’, Featured activities include fitness clinics, biking and walking tours, kids’ games, yoga, rock climbing, street hockey, art activities, live music and dance classes. A full schedule of activities can be found at www.circlethecity.org
Circle The City builds community, encourages family fun, supports local business and promotes safe physical activity linking neighborhoods and parks for a healthy, vibrant, connected Boston. Event partners include dozens of local organizations and groups who helped shape the event to make it a true celebration of our city.
